This, That and, Oh Yeah, I've got a new job!
"You seem familiar. Have I threatened you before?"

I'm official! Yes, I'm an official government employee. Well, County Government, but government none the less. Yesterday, I sat through a day of orientation with about 12 other new hires and then today was my first day on the job. I have a good feeling I'm really going to like it. I'm not much of a night person, so getting up to be at the park by 7:30 shouldn't be a problem. Most of the people I'm working with have at least a few screws loose, so I'll fit right in.

Leaving TAG was actually really cool. I had already let my Team Leader know I was leaving so Wednesday, he comes to me at about 3:30 and says "You want to go home?" Of course, I say yes. He tells me some of the official stuff, like I can't divulge TAG secrets (I don't know any anyways), and such. I signed the paper saying I'd be a good boy, turned in my headset and bad photo ID and then he took me to Mary, the floor manager, who shook my hand and said that they were sorry to see me go and wished me luck. And they actually meant it! He then walked me out to my car. I asked him if it was a security thing, but he said, "No. I wanted to have a cigarette, and I like you." Jack's a really good guy. I'm going to miss working for him. Won't miss TAG, but I will miss Jack. And Turtle, he's a cool guy. I'll miss Turtle as well.

My parents were down last week for vacation. Was sort of good and also sort of really sucked. They came in on a Sunday evening while I was working so I didn't get to see them until Monday morning, and that was only for about 30 minutes and then I had to run to work. While they were here, they did order me a pair of Wolverine work boots for my new job, so that was cool. But they also griped about a lot of shit. I was sad when they left, but at the same time, I breathed a sigh of relief. Is that bad? Thing is, they're looking at rental properties down here for next year. My mom's worked for the U.S. Government for over 30 years so she's going to retire next year. What they want to do is stay down here through the months of January and Febrary to see "how they like it". Then, they may move down here permanently. Yippee. Actually, I think it would be cool to have them closer. I miss them already.

Well, the wife's started back to work. This is a good thing, but it's also bad. See, her clippers were going out on her before she took maternity leave and we never could afford to get her new ones (they're like $150!) so now she has to go back to work with shitty equipment. She had a guy who sharpens her blades work on them for her, but now they work worse than they did before. I think she should get her money back, but that won't happen. So, we'll look into getting her a new set of clippers and a few new blades. She needs the shit so whatcha gonna do?

Well, that's it for now. Just gonna go and relax for a bit and then go to bed. 5:30 comes pretty early and I need my beauty sleep (there aren't enough hours in the day for that). I'll catch y'all laters.
