Wow, it's been over a month since I've updated. So much for "keeping current". Well, unfortunately, I don't really have much time to get into detail because I have to leave for work in about 10 minutes so I'll just give a Reader's Digest version to try and catch everyone up.
Survivor: Sandra won, which was cool. As long as Jon didn't win, I didn't care who won. I would have rather it been Rupert, but he was the most popular so that's cool.
I didn't get the job with Dr. Notes (fukkerz), but I've had 2 interviews for jobs with Broward County so far. Both went really well and I'm hoping. I've got another interview for a B. Co. job Jan. 7th (may need to see about rescheduling it, though) and am waiting to get set up for a 4th appointment for an interview around that same time. They're all maintenance worker jobs, which I want, but at differing locations or departments. More details later.
Things at work are so-so. I was getting $11 an hour but they bumped it up to $12 on Dec. 28 for pretty much everyone across the board. That helps. Plus, I've been put on a new split (account). Pay For Support. More details on that later as well.
We're in serious rent trouble. We normally pay rent by the 15th of each month. We've been doing good up until December. The wife's job is fucking her out of her disability pay so come Dec. 15th, we didn't have enough for rent and I didn't get paid until the 24th. So, I wrote a letter to our landlord letting him know what's going on and that we would pay late. Of course, when I got paid on the 24th, it wasn't as much as I thought it was going to be and, even though my parents had sent us money to help, we didn't have enough. So now, we need about $600 before Jan. 2nd or we're out, I think. Problem is, I have a way to get more than enough money, but we won't have it until Jan. 7th, 5 days too late. Not sure how we're going to work it. Hopefully, more details later.
Saving the best for last. Our new baby girl has arrived. The wife went into labor around 9:30 or so Dec. 22nd and delivered our little girl at 1:22 that afternoon. Yep, really quick delivery. More details on that later. The wife is a major trooper though. She birthed a 9 lb. 12 oz. baby naturally. You read that right, 'Bear fans. Naturally! Meaning, no pain killers, drugs anything. She's such an amazing person. I'm so proud of her. That may sound corny, but I am. She is so way much more tougher than I am. And now to my Little Boo. Who will soon become my Big Boo, who will then become my Little Heartbreaker, then my Big Heartbreaker and will then be the source of, by then, probably, my 4th heart attack. She's amazing. She only cries when she's hungry, which isn't really as often as you'd think. She's a great baby. Sleeps all the time and is just as cute as hell. I'll try to have a few pictures here later on. I'm one proud husband/pappa.
And the other two kids, MonkeyBoy and Icebear Jr. (whom I love just as much as Little Boo) are doing good too. MonkeyBoy is growing like a fuckin' weed. He's got to be almost 5' now and he's not even 8 years old yet. Plus, he's getting way too smart for his own good. He still has a bit of a problem with his reading, but we're working on that. Math is still his strong point...go figger. Kid's gonna start making his old man look stupid soon. Icebear Jr. is becoming the Rebel without a Pause. He's getting into everything and has the attitude to back it up. He'll be the source of, probably, at least my 1st two heart attacks. The two of them will team up for #3.
Well, anyway, that's a quick and dirty version of things. I've really been in an updating mood lately so I'll try to come back an do an entry on a few of the above. An entry for each I mean, so that I'll at least have reason to update for a few days in a row. Gotta get to work, dammit. Luckily, today is my short day, only 6 hours instead of 13 so I'll be able to leave while it's still daylight. God, I've got to get another fuckin' job. Please, Broward County, make me a grunt for nature (most of the jobs I've interviewed for are outdoor jobs working in parks or historic land...gotta love it!).
You all take care of yourselves and have a very Happy (and please be safe) New Year! Da 'Bear loves all of ya and wants you to come back safe. Ya hear?
