So, my 4th of July was kind of a downer. My in-laws are so fucked up it's not even funny anymore. Nothing like being around a bunch of drunk rednecks with explosives to make your day. At least no one went to the hospital. The high point of the evening was when my wife's cousin handed my father-in-law a ¼ stick of home-made dynomite to set off. I never saw my father-in-law run that fast and the fuckin' shockwave about knocked me over. Of course, that brought every fuckin' neighbor in a 3 house radius out to see what the fuck's going on.

Nothing much else going on. I've been so bored lately. I've sort of tried to look for a job, but just haven't really been in the mood. I know I need to get over it soon and really buckle down, but it's tough. The shitty thing is, I'm still working for the guys who cut me loose for another month. I'm doing my stuff, but it's just hard to get things done knowing that in another 3 weeks I'm gone. I don't want to blow things off and not work, but at the same time, I'm like "What's the point?" This is really starting to suck.

The wife has the next 3 days off and since we're back to the old, 1 car family thing, then I guess I'll have to make the best of those 3 days. My dad's really onto me to get my resume out to as many places as I can, and I agree. Problem is, I don't really have a resume. It's been over 6 years since I've even had to think about a resume. I was filling out shit on Monster.com the other day and I can hardly remember when I graduated college. Shit. I need to find someone who'll fix up a resume for me, but won't charge me a fuckin' arm and a leg. Oh well, as the wise man say, "Opportunity knock once, but temptation lean on doorbell."

Well, I'm drawing just a huge fuckin' blank. I can't think of anything worth anything to say so I might as well stop this yawn-fest right here. Maybe something interesting will hit me tomorrow.
