11:03 p.m. - 2-13-2002 Well, well, well. It's been about 3 months since my last little pathetic update. Doubt anyone is still reading this, but just in case someone is, I'm updating. Go me. I went back and read my next to last entry, so I'll try to pick up from there. First off, the bankruptcy is finished. We had to go to the Federal Courthouse here in Florida and answer a few yes/no questions and that was it. Took us longer to find the fuckin' place than it did for the "meeting". But, it's over. We now live in a large, 3 BR townhouse, but it's a piece of shit. The a/c is as twitchy as an epileptic and half or more of the outlets don't work. We mainly took it because the landlord A) didn't run a credit check on us and B) let us have pets. He's an asshole, though, and we can't wait to move out. Right after moving in, we found out the a/c wasn't working. This is at the end of August in South Florida. Can you say, FUCKIN' HOT? Yeah, I knew you could. We called the guy 3 times to get him to fix it. After the 3rd day of trying to sleep in a 90 degree house we gave up. We spent the night next door at the wife's aunt's apartment. Oh, yeah, my wife's aunt lives right next door. Lucky, eh? Anyway, the landlord finally got some a/c people out the next day and they fixed the damn thing. But that wasn't the last of our a/c problems. Before we left our old apartment, the wife had gotten a job at Petsmart as a petstylist assitant. Basically, any dogs that were brought in for grooming were bathed first and then combed out. She did the bathing and the combing. She also cleaned their teeth and clipped their claws. The purpose of this job is to groom them (no pun intended) to be groomers. Petsmart would send her to grooming school and pay for her tools and everything, but then she'd be a slave to them for 2 years. Well, the wife loved this idea. 5 months later, after fighting with ill-tempered dogs and assinine owners, she's decided that she doesn't want to groom after all. So, now she's a cashier and helps out with the grooming dept. if they need it. She now fights with customers instead of animals. It is possible, however, that my company might have some stuff for her to do at home and if the pay is what we've been led to believe it is, then she will work from home and can leave Petsmart. We'll have to see though. As I'm sure I let everyone know, I got my pilot's license back in May. Well, I haven't flown since. Can you believe that shit? Oh well. After the World Trade Center, our publisher grouded our plane and now the manufacturer we leased it from wants it back. I had thought that I would get to be the one to fly it back to London, Ontario (I would love to see Canada), but I haven't heard anymore about it so I guess that plan's fucked. Before we moved the wife had gotten 3 kitties, if you've been to her site www.kittikity.com then you've probably seen pictures of them. Well, now we've got 2 more. They're Siamese and they're adorable. I call them my furry little demons. Her cats suck, mine are cool. Yeah! Anyway, on top of the 5 cats, we also had a dog, but we took him back to the Humane Society because he kept biting the baby and he also pissed and shit in the house and we just didn't have time to give him the attention he needed. He was a hyper little puppy and needed a hyper little family to go with him. We also took in a stray for a while, but had to get rid of her as well. She went to a really good home, though, so no worries. And, yes, I know she went to a good home because I took her myself. But that's not the end of it for the animals. I still have Otto, the kick-ass Cockatiel, and the wife still has her finches. Well, one. Back in the winter, when it actually go cold here in Florida, our heat didn't work and it got too cold for them and all but one died. Then there's Soda, the guinea pig, and numerous fish, to many to name. It's our own little menagerie. There's not really much else of interest to tell really. Like what I did tell was of interest. Ha! I did dye my hair blue, though. Well, I tried. I got this Clairol shit to bleach it out, which worked really good. Then I got this other Clairol shit to dye it with. Only problem is, after 30 minutes, the dye just washed out so I had kind of a very light gun metal grey/blue hair. It's ok, at least it didn't turn orange or something. I'm also planning, when I can afford it to get some piercings. My septum (ouch!!), and then 3 in my lip...one dead center and one on each side. I've also got some ideas for some tattoos. If/when I get all this stuff done, I'll put up pics. I'm sure you can't wait. Well, I've actually got to get to work and do something so that I can justify the invoices that I'm e-mailing in. Catch you all later. Y'all take 'er easy, and if she's easy, take 'er again.
