Kittens, Work and the little one is discovering his legs.
"Welcome to the Promised LAN."

We have some new additions to the 'Bear household. Last week, the wife surprised me, and kind of aggrivated me, by getting 3 kittens. We'd been discussing getting one because our apartment complex doesn't allow animals and we have to hide it, but I wasn't too keen on three. Well, a lady not too far from us had some cats that had kittens and next thing I know, the wife is waking me up and telling me that she got three kittens. I was a little pissed off, but it's subsided. They're actually cute little buggers. There's Newton, the male, who is named after another kitten that we had four years ago. We had hand fed him and his brothers and sisters since their mother disappeared on them, but they died. He was the one we were going to keep so we had named him. So, now his legacy lives on. Then the two girls are Belle, named, of course, after Belle and Dana, named after Prplxtacy. They've kind of grown on me in just the few days we've had them. They're finally getting playful. The wife took them to the vet today to get checked out and they're healthy and fine. I just hope I don't end up regretting this.

Well, things are looking up at work. We've been moved into a new office. All of the production, marketing and sales people have moved to a new suite in our building. It's not bad at all. There are actually 2 "offices", with doors that are separate from the rest of the suite, and I would have wanted one of those, but I guess I didn't rate. Plus, since I'm in and out at different times, I didn't have a chance to call dibs. Anyway, it's more space than I had in the other office and at nights, I'll be here by myself. I won't have to worry about reservation people wandering around, turning the lights out on me, and locking me in/out. That's cool. I think I'm going to like it here.

Icebear Jr. is just about walking. He can stand up on his own, but I think it's because his brain is a bit behind the rest of him. He'll stand there for a few seconds and then it's like his brain realizes, "Shit, I'm not holding on to anything!" and then he folds up and sits down. My parents got him a "push" toy for X-mas and he's finally started using that. It's kind of cute to watch him, because, yes, he is walking, but at the same time, you can kind of get this sense of "I've got to keep moving my feet or I'll fall down" running through his bubbling baby mind. He loves pushing it around and smiles real big all the time. He can't steer it yet, just push. He'll push it until he hits a wall or my shoes or something stops his forward progress and then he'll stand there, not saying anything or looking at anyone, just waiting for us to notice that he's no longer moving (and therefore having fun) and turn it around or move the offending object, and then, off he goes again. Walking, smiling, giggling, drooling. Kids are great. If you don't have any, you've got to get one. You'll love it. It's rough at first, with the diapers and the crying and stuff, but that will pass, until, of course, they start teething and then the crying starts up again and moves into the screaming realm, but just one look at their adorable little faces and it all goes away. Well, for a few seconds at least. Anyway, try it, you'll like it.

Well, that's another entry of meaningless, boring, dull bullshit so I guess I'll stop now. I've got to think of how to come up with more interesting and captivating entries. I would do them nude, but what would you get out of it? Trust me, you're better off anyway. Maybe I need to do some more drunk entries. Oh well, till the next one.
