Bob, Scud and I point fingers at other D-landers, but in a good way.
"REACH FOR THE SKY, LADIES & GENTLEMEN!"

I don't have poison ivy. Just thought I'd let you know. Actually, Unclebob, I never really said that I didn't like the movie Welcome To The Dollhouse, I just said that it was fucked up, I didn't really understand it and I wasn't going to watch it again. That doesn't mean I didn't like it. In fact, it made me think, and I always have at least an inkling of like for a movie that makes me think. I really wish the army would flame me, at least I'd have people sending me mail and leaving stuff in my analyzer. Come one people, share the love!!

I was reading this entry in Ever's diary and I have to say that I can relate to her 110%. At work, I hate it when people come up to my desk and want to discuss a web layout with me. Without thinking, they reach out, put a grubby finger on my monitor screen and start dragging it around like John Madden on the telestrator. Back the fuck off, Cletus! I'm very anal and obsessive compulsive when it comes to shit like that. At home, I'm constantly grabbing Demonchild's hand mere inches from the monitor because he has tendency to wander in, sneak up behind you and go, "What's that?" *point point* *smear smear*. ARG!! Don't touch the monitor! It's one of my many pet peeves.

I finally got a response from someone about this entry. Scudster happens to be a big PJ fan and he sent me a short e-mail letting me know the short and skinny of it. And I've got to commend him on the way he did it. He was calm, collected and polite. He's a better man than I. If someone had basically dumped on a band I really liked, I'd be all like, "You suck! You don't know what the hell you're talking about!", but not Scud. He was straight forward and direct. Here's what he wrote:

heh 'bear i'm sure someone mentioned this to you..but pearl-jam released all those live shows to SAVE people money. because what had been happening is that bootleggers would release those same shows for at least 40 dollars a pop. now you ask me. would you rather have them make the shows, be a+ quality, and only cost 12 bucks. or would you rather them have their fans get the same stuff, shittier quality and then pay 40 bucks?

see..now it sorta makes sense.

Yeah, it sorta makes more sense. I'm still not a Pearl Jam fan, though, but that's my perogotive. I'm sure I listen to tons of stuff that most of you out there would wonder how they even got a record deal. But, to each his own. I've also never been much of one for bootlegs, so I wouldn't be in that situation in the first place, but thanks for clearing that up Scud. I appreciate it. *highfives*

We're fuckin' broke already. On top of that, we're overdrawn by like $125. This really sucks. On my way to work this evening (that's where I am now by the way), I sat and wondered how Waterbelle and Gawain do it. I'm not sure how much Waterbelle makes, but Gawain has stated that he gets $5.90 an hour or so. How the hell can you live off that? Of course, his wife works too so that's not so bad. But, Belle is always talking about going out to eat, or getting beads or some such and I began to wonder how she/they do it. Not to brag, but I know I make more than they do. In fact, I'm pretty sure that my paycheck every two weeks is more than theirs put together. So, how do they manage to have a life and I'm always broke? Then I actually thought about it. She only has herself to take care of, I have 3 other people depending on me, there's a major difference there. Then, if you really look at what she does, except for going to an occasional movie, she doesn't do anything real extravigant. Anyway, it's probably more like comparing apples and oranges. I just hate living paycheck to paycheck. The only thing I did after this paycheck that could be considered a luxury was that I went and bought a couple of CD's and got a DVD. Other than that, all we did was pay bills. Yes, we ate out a couple of times, but you have to be able to eat out once in a while. If not for that, we don't go anywhere. Hopefully the wife can get a job soon and this will all be a distant memory. I fuckin' hope so.

Speaking of CD's that I got last weekend, one of them totally rocks the wangsicle. I first heard of this band while perusing MTV last year, when they had an Ozzfest, special. I had heard mention of the bands name but didn't know much about them. Then I saw an interview with them. The band is named Kittie and they're 4 teenage girls from Canada. And they fuckin' rock hard man. I saw the interview with them, but it was rather short. Basically, it was MTVj's wandering around where the Ozzfest artists hang out and trying to get interviews, so they had to be quick. They didn't play any of their music, but during the interview, had clips of them playing live, but you couldn't hear the music because they had overdubbed the interview. Later on, Iann, the "metal guy" for MTV was interviewing Vinnie Paul, the drummer of Pantera (and Dimebag Darrell's brother, I might add...little bit of Pantera trivia for ya...) and mentioned Kittie. Vinnie Paul put down the Dreamcast controller, looked at Iann and said, "Those chicks fuckin' rock hard!". Of course, there were bleeps instead of the expletives. Later on that day, in the car, the local radio station actually played one of their songs. Damn! They rock major hard. So, as I was out picking up the new Mudvayne album, I got Kittie's new one too. Check 'em out. They're killer.

Ok, I need some help from alla you D-landers out there that read this. First off, when I'm no longer broke and destitute, I'm planning on getting a D-land gold membership. I'm pretty good at making banners (I do it for a living), but I need a slogan or "tag" line. Yes, I know Unclebob asked the same thing, but I don't care. E-mail me any ideas you guys can come up with. I don't care if they're dirty or what, I'll see what I can get away with. Thanks!

Second is a bit of an odd matter. In my search to find my own "identity" and "expressive voice" I was planning on dyeing my hair. No, not blonde, black, or red. I wanna dye my hair blue. Deep electric blue. Anyone know of a good place to get this color of dye? Or can you recommend a brand? I remember about 6 years ago, I was in the 7th Heaven record store in the small town where I used to work and they had a supply of "Manic Panic" hair dye, is that the best? Again, e-mail me your tips and information. I appreciate it.

Oh, while you're at it, why don't you sign my fuckin' guestbook or leave your fuckin' mark in my analyzer. It won't take you but 5 minutes tops! If you can take time out of your day to vote for Unclebob then you can take time out and drop me a line. Please? I'm not above begging.

Well, that's all for now. I'm finished with work. Gonna maybe play a game for a short while and then head home. Even though this entry is technically a Monday entry, I might update more later on tonight. If not, see you next entry.
