Pity, Movies, and just a buncha lame crap.
"When this is over, I'm gonna smoke a joint, watch 2 hours of roots and then kick your ass!"

Hhmmm...what a day. What a fucked up day. Well, not really, just felt like saying that. Working the pity angle. Forget about.

Ever come across a show that you knew about when it was on the networks, but for some reason you "weren't into it", but now, for some reason, you really dig it and have to watch it? I'm like that with the show "Sports Night". I saw it a couple of times when it was on CBS, but it was up against something else I used to watch, I forget what, and I never really had time for it. Now, however, I'm catching it on Comedy Central and I'm really digging it. It's really funny. I just wonder how many shows like this, ones that are actually really good, get fucked over by the networks because they're put on in a bad time slot. Anyway, if you have Comedy Central then check it out Thursday nights at 10:30. It's good stuff.

Right now I'm sitting here watching Terence the snake try like a muhfugger to puke up his big pile of mide that he ate for the game "What did Terence eat" on TV Funhouse on Comedy Central. I really have no life.

Last night, I watched the new "Gone In 60 Seconds" with Nick Cage. Tonight, I watched the original. It's funny. The more I watch it, the more similarities I find between the two. There's the obvious of course: Eleanor, the Mustang nemesis, and both movies were shot in Long Beach, CA. But there are subtleties. For instance, in the original, the two cops who first follow the tip about Eleanor being stolen have the call sign "One Baker Eleven". The driver is a white guy and he has a black partner. In the new movie, Delroy Lindo's character, Det. Castlebeck (who is black) has a white partner and they have the callsign "One Baker Eleven". In the original, part of the final chase takes place on the Vincent Thomas Bridge, and in the new version, Nick Cage makes his spectacular "accident jump" on the Vincent Thomas Bridge. I'm sure there are more, I just can't recall them right now.

Oh well, this is really coming out as shit. And just to think, I had all this stuff I was going write about in my head this afternoon and now it's all gone. Fuck. Oh well, might as well quit while I'm ahead. I do have one consolation, however. I'm going to go have some great sex with my wife now. Jealous? I'm sure you aren't. Anyway, until next entry.
