10:30 PM - 9-14-2000 The past few days I've been in kind of a funk, a depression and I can't fuckin' figure out what's causing it. If I knew what was causing it, it wouldn't be so bad. Then I could give my wife an answer when she asks "What's wrong?" I hate this not knowing. But life goes on and now is not the time for crying. I would like to take a moment to apologize to a few people. Namely Plum, Sporkboy, Zandra and any others I have listed to the right but not on my analyzer page. I'm sorry. I was only allowed to put down 10 and I named the first 10 that I thought of. I would have loved to have put all of you on there, but Bob set rules. The same goes for everyone who has signed my guestbook, but I don't have a button for you on the right. I'm sorry. I would love to link everyone, kind of like Uncle Bob's army (hey, who wouldn't want their own friggin' army?!) but the fact is, I don't put a link to anyone that I don't read regularly. Yes, everyone of those diaries to the right, I read on a regular basis. I would like to expand that list, but since I mostly read everything while I'm at work, I haven't the time. Maybe, someday soon, when I get to work from home, I can start branching out. I might even start reading new ones from home, but I'm addicted to that boob tube so that looks kind of dim. Oh well. So, there you have it. My heartfelt apologies to everyone. And I mean it. The latest issue of my Terrorizer magazine has a very large article about downloading music from the net and all the controversy and convenience it's caused. As I was reading through said article while on the throne (it's when a man's attention is the sharpest...ladies, if you ever need to ask your man something important, wait until he's on the pot) and something struck me as ironic, and then very friggin' annoying. Metallica, the driving force behind the whole Napster hullaballoo got their start in the early 80's mainly due to the underground tape trading scene. Their first label deal was with John Zazula and Megaforce records in New York. Metallica are a San Francisco Bay area band, how the hell did a guy in New York hear of this unsigned band? That's right, tape trading. And now, they're shitting all over the successor of the very process that got them where they are today. Paints an interesting picture doesn't it. Oh, and while I'm on the subject, I still can't fucking get into Napster. I haven't tried from home, though, since most of my time spent on the computer is at work so I might try that, but I'm getting really fuckin' frustrated. Thanks Lars, ya skinny, fuckin' dink. Well, I wanted to try to keep this short so I'll leave you with the song lyrics to a parody song that was in the Terrorizer article. This song is for Metallica and is done to the tune of "Master of Puppets".

End of records play, royalties gone away
Hey you bastards
Sixteen bucks a disc, most of it is shit
Hey you bastards
Napster, Napster, Where's the cashflow we've been after?
Mercedes worth all that, wealth a habit that
Hey you bastards
"Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?"
